English for Business Life - Pre-intermediate
How the programme works:
- This course is designed to be as flexible as possible. This means
you have between 10 and 15 months to complete the programme. This book
contains 36 chapters and we recommend that you aim to complete a chapter
every 1-2 weeks. You have a maximum of 15 months to complete the programme.
- If, within 30 days of receiving the book, you feel that you will
not be able to complete the programme, return the materials and they can be
exchanged for another level or the fee can be refunded.
- When you have successfully completed each unit, please contact
your tutor.
- On completion of three or four chapters you will be
sent an assignment. You will then have up to two weeks to return it to us.
The corrected assignment will be returned to you within a further two weeks.
There will be a total of ten assignments. If you have any difficulties with
the schedule, please notify us as soon as possible.
- When you have successfully completed the programme, you will be issued with a certificate.
Content
- The book contains a range of exercises designed to develop your
use of communicative grammar, vocabulary, speaking and writing skills. It
covers the key business and functional language required in a variety of
work-related situations. Although it is possible to work through the
chapters in any particular order, we recommend you simply begin with chapter 1!
- The assignments set will follow up work studied in the units.
They will also contain additional work-related written exercises. You are
also welcome to suggest topics which relate to each chapter which you feel
may be beneficial to you.
Tutoring
- You will have a personal tutor to help you with the study
programme. You can contact him/her at any time by email/fax and, by
arrangement, by phone. With the help of your tutor, you will customise the
programme to help you with the English which you really need.
